Awards We Have Picked Up Along The Way

We are proud of the recognition we have received, and we are most proud of the fact that we are providing a useful source of information. My favorite comment about our print newsletter is " I read it cover to cover."

bullet Labour Web site of the Week...
...Sometime we select a labour website of the week because of the movement it represents or a burning issue it addresses. And sometimes those sites are not, well, the very best there are, technically speaking. This week we've chosen a website which is an example of technical excellence, an ambitious and forward-looking site, one which novice labour webmasters will want to study.
NATCA Voice began as a publication of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association in the USA, a union which is now affiliated to the AFL-CIO. But its website offers much more than NATCA or even aviation news. The site boasts of its 95 mega-bytes of information and its 3,100 hits per day. It includes an extensive list of labour links (with a rare twist: these are annotated); a labour news page -- excellent, except that it doesn't seem to have been updated since February; an internal search engine; and much more. The site is heavy on frames and Java, and I know that there are many different viewpoints among webmasters about these. (Personally, I don't like frames, and haven't made my mind up about Java -- though JavaScript is another story.)
In conclusion, this site is ambitious, cutting edge, content-rich, dynamic -- hey, what else do we want from a labour website?

The Links2Go Key Resource Award is both exclusive and objective. Fewer than one page in one thousand will ever be selected for inclusion. Further, unlike most awards that rely on the subjective opinion of "experts," many of whom have only looked at tens or hundreds of thousands of pages in bestowing their awards, the Links2GoKey Resource award is completely objective and is based on an analysis of millions of web pages. During the course of our analysis, we identify which links are most representative of each of the thousands of topics in Links2Go, based on how actual page authors, like yourself, index and organize links on their pages. In fact, the Key Resource award is so exclusive, even we don't qualify for it (yet ;)!
